Events
Bo’ness hosts one of the biggest children’s events in Europe – the Bo’ness Fair Festival, at the end of June each year. This event sees the crowning of a local girl as queen, plus a massive procession throughout the town. A fantastic family day – free to attend. The town also hosts other events and festivals right throughout the year. Here are some of the things to watch out for in a typical year.
March – Silent Film Festival at The Hippodrome Cinema
June – Bo’ness Children’s Fair Festival
September – Bo’ness Revival Hill Climb and Big Roman Week
September / October – Bo’ness Real Ale Festival in the Town Hall
Halloween Events at Bo’ness and Kinneil Railway and Kinneil House
November – Countdown to Christmas
December – Santa Trains and Hogmanay Specials at Bo’ness and Kinneil Railway
There are also special open days throughout the year and shows, musicals and arts events at local venues. Check Bo’ness Library, local press and www.facebook.com/loveboness for details on up-and-coming events.
